The Department has announced the transitional arrangements for the closure of the Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 489 visa program. The following timeline has been provided by the Department:

Applications lodged prior to the 16 November 2019 cut off date will continue to be processed as usual.
Following the announcement of the 10 September 2019 cut off date, state, territory and regional authorities are beginning to provide information on their procedures in the lead up to the closure of the Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 489 visa program.
RDA Central West - nominations closed, new occupation lists to be posted by 5 August 2019, with registrations opening on 5 August and closing on 9 August 2019.
RDA Northern Inland - applications currently closed, but may reopen if advised by NSW Government on 22 July 2019. Last date for accepting 489 applications 3 September 2019.
