Introduction
NSW provides visa nomination to highly skilled professionals in a range of occupations to help drive economic growth in the state. You must be qualified for an NSW nomination if you are proficient in a profession that BOTH:
- occurs in one of the listed ANZSCO unit groups, AND
- is admissible to the relevant visa
It is significant to remember that not all ANZSCO unit group vocations qualify for the corresponding visa. Before requesting a skills evaluation, prospective immigrants must ensure their profession qualifies for the visa.
NSW employs a selection-based invitation procedure to ensure that NSW nominees are in line with the skills requirements of the state’s economy.
Direct applications for NSW nomination are not accepted.
The NSW nomination for the subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa is quite competitive. Do not wait to be invited; look into all available migration options on the Home Affairs launch website.
Round invitations
Invitation rounds continue to take place all year long. There are no predetermined dates, and rounds are not disclosed in advance.
By contacting our office, NSW is unable to provide information about the dates of upcoming NSW invitation rounds or the possibility that your SkillSelect EOI will be invited.
